Compact 3V AA battery holder

This pack supplies five enclosed ABS cases that each accept two AA cells to deliver a 3 V output. The holders are aimed at hobbyists and technicians who need a lightweight, portable power source for low‑current prototyping or repair work. A built‑in on‑off switch lets you cut power without removing the batteries. Batteries are not included.

Sustained low‑current behaviour

The supplier notes that the internal wiring is thin and the structure suits only very small current loads. Under continuous use the voltage will remain stable only while the draw stays within that limited range; exceeding it causes the wires to heat up. The note advises stopping use immediately if the leads become warm. No higher‑current rating is provided.

Thermals, noise and power draw

The ABS enclosure produces no audible noise and draws no power itself; all dissipation comes from the connected load and the internal resistance of the thin leads. In normal low‑current operation the case stays at ambient temperature. The warning about hot wires is the only thermal guidance supplied.

Questions about this item

Will the ABS case or wires get hot if I leave the holder powering a small device all day?

The supplier notes the wires are thin and the structure is only fit for very small current loads; stop using the product if the wires become hot.

What must I already have to use these holders as a 3 V power source?

Each holder requires two AA batteries, which are not included in the pack of five holders.

Can I keep using my existing 160 mm wire leads when I add these holders to an older project?

Each holder comes with its own 160 mm wire leads, so you can connect them directly without reusing older wiring.
