Transmission speed sensor for select 2001–2011 Acura and Honda models, OE 28810-P7W-004, 12 V DC, three-pin, 7.3 mm mounting hole
This transmission speed sensor replaces OE number 28810-P7W-004 for Honda and Acura models from 2000 through 2011. It provides the vehicle speed signal used by the transmission control module and speedometer. The part fits Civic, CR-V, Insight, Odyssey, Pilot, CL, MDX, RSX and TL within the listed model years. Buyers with vehicles outside these applications cannot use this sensor.
The sensor operates at DC 12 V and uses a three-pin connector that plugs into the mating harness smoothly. A black shell houses the internal components and the mounting hole diameter measures 7.3 mm. No thermal, noise or power-draw figures are supplied for normal operation.
The box contains one transmission speed sensor only; no wiring pigtail, seal or mounting hardware is included. The unit is a non-OEM accessory that has undergone a rigorous inspection for quality. Installation relies on the existing connector and fastener from the original sensor.

Mount the sensor into the 7.3 mm transmission hole, tighten to spec, then push the 3-pin connector until it clicks; the step often missed is verifying the connector latch is fully seated.
The sensor itself is maintenance-free; plan to replace it only if the transmission begins shifting erratically or a speed-signal code returns after the OE 28810-P7W-004 service interval.
Continuous 12 V operation at transmission temperatures can degrade the internal coil insulation, causing signal drop-out before the plastic housing shows any physical distortion.
