Dual-Band 2dBi Antennas

These two RP-SMA male antennas operate across 2.4 and 5.8 GHz bands with 2dBi gain. They suit DIY wireless projects, router upgrades or IoT modules needing a compact right-angle fit. The 50 mm length keeps clearance low in tight enclosures. No drivers or software are required for installation.

Right-Angle Connector Fit

Builders with straight RP-SMA ports or reverse-polarity SMA jacks will find the elbow orientation blocks adjacent ports or points the wrong way. Users needing higher gain for long-range links should consider larger directional antennas instead. Devices using U.FL, MMCX or N-type connectors cannot attach without adapters.

2dBi Gain at 2.4/5.8 GHz

The 2dBi gain figure determines whether the antennas add enough signal margin for your environment. At this level they improve indoor coverage and short-range links but will not overcome thick walls or outdoor distances. Match the gain to the link budget before purchasing.

Questions about this item

Will the RP-SMA male right-angle elbow connector need periodic tightening?

The connector uses a standard RP-SMA thread inside without a pin; it is designed to stay secure once installed and does not require scheduled tightening.

What limits the antenna's gain during continuous operation?

The antenna provides a fixed 2dBi gain across the 2.4 and 5.8GHz bands; there is no active circuitry that would degrade or limit performance under sustained use.

Does the antenna generate heat or noise when used all day?

The passive antenna has no powered components, so it produces no heat or noise regardless of how long it operates.
