Ceramic insulator beads for heating elements

A pack of 400 ceramic insulator beads designed for electric heating elements, protection sheaths and temperature sensor assemblies. The beads suit hobbyists and technicians building or repairing high-temperature wiring where reliable insulation is required.

Tapered inner diameter limits wire range

Each bead offers a tapered bore from a minimum inner diameter of .08 inch to a maximum of .16 inch, so only conductors within that range will fit. The fixed overall size of .24 by .24 inch also restricts the maximum outer diameter of any heat-shrink tubing or sleeving used over the bead.

Ceramic construction resists heat and chemicals

The ceramic material provides high corrosion resistance, scratch proof surfaces and good chemical stability for long service in harsh thermal environments. Supplied as a loose bulk pack of 400 pieces, the beads require manual handling and sorting during installation.

Questions about this item

Should I order the 400-piece pack or look for a smaller quantity?

The listing supplies 400 pieces with a tolerance of plus or minus two percent, which is the only pack size offered.

Will a 2 mm inner diameter fit the heating wire I use?

The beads taper from a minimum inner diameter of .08 inch up to a maximum of .16 inch, so wires up to 4 mm can pass through.

What does the 6 x 6 mm overall size limit in an assembly?

Each bead measures .24 inch high by .24 inch at its widest point, setting the space needed in a sheath or sensor housing.
