Three copper-braided wicks, each 1.5 m long and 3.5 mm wide, remove excess solder from circuit boards and components
The Unique-Bargains CP-3515 is a copper braided wick designed to remove excess solder during electronic repair work. It suits hobbyists, technicians and students who need to clean joints on circuit boards, radios or other small devices. Each pack contains three spools, providing enough length for multiple desoldering tasks.
The wick uses copper tone wire braided into a 3.5mm width and wound on a 47mm diameter plastic reel. The braid draws molten solder away from the joint when heated with a soldering iron, leaving pads clean for rework. The spool format keeps the wire tidy and allows easy dispensing during detailed work.
Compared to short pre-cut strips, these 1.5 metre rolls let you pull fresh braid for each joint without waste. The jump is worth it for anyone doing regular board-level repairs who wants a continuous supply on hand. It is not suited for high-volume production desoldering or specialised flux-coated braid requirements.

The braid measures 3.5 mm wide and lifts a joint’s worth of solder each time you heat it; you simply advance fresh braid for the next joint.
The reel is 47 mm in diameter and 30 g net, so it sits on most standard spool holders without modification.
Lay the braid on the joint, press the iron tip on top until solder flows into the copper, then lift both together; clean the area with isopropyl alcohol afterwards.
