SKU CH-84Z6-841MG

Holds a single CR2430 coin cell in a horizontal PCB-mount socket, supplied as a pack of five black plastic-and-metal cases

  • Product typeBattery & Cable Connectors
  • Holds CR2430 cells securely with horizontal PCB mount
  • Five holders per pack for multiple project needs
  • Compact 30.8 × 13.1 mm footprint saves board space
  • Black plastic and metal construction resists everyday handling
  • 3 V output matches standard CR2430 specifications

Purpose and Fit

The Unique-Bargains CR2430 horizontal battery holder accepts a single CR2430 coin cell and mounts flat on a printed circuit board. It suits hobbyists, repair technicians and small-batch assemblers who need a secure, low-profile power connection for memory-backup or real-time-clock circuits.

Build Integration

Each holder measures 30.8 by 13.1 mm and weighs 17 g for the five-piece pack, leaving minimal footprint on dense boards. The black plastic and metal construction provides polarity guidance and mechanical retention without requiring additional hardware or soldered tabs beyond the standard PCB pads.

Upgrade Context

The part replaces loose cells taped in place or vertical holders that exceed height limits in slim enclosures. It is not for designs needing dual-cell redundancy, rechargeable chemistries or surface-mount footprints different from the through-hole horizontal pattern.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum diameter of a CR2430 cell that fits the 30.8 mm holder?

The holder accepts a standard CR2430 cell with a 30.8 mm diameter and 13.1 mm height.

Does the plastic and metal housing become hot during continuous 3 V output?

The passive holder has no active components, so it generates no heat during normal use.

What must already be on the circuit board for these horizontal holders to work?

A PCB footprint matching the horizontal pin spacing is required for soldering.
