Pack of Twenty CR2450 Holders

This pack contains twenty black plastic holders designed to secure a single CR2450 button cell. Each unit uses a two-terminal DIP layout for straightforward through-hole mounting. The total package weighs sixty-seven grams.

For Prototyping and Small-Batch Assembly

Suitable for engineers, hobbyists and repair technicians who need multiple sockets for test rigs, sensor nodes or backup-power circuits. Buyers who require surface-mount footprints or holders for other cell sizes should look at a different product.

Two-Terminal DIP Footprint

The defining specification is the through-hole, two-pin DIP pattern that accepts only a CR2450 cell. This footprint dictates board layout and rules out surface-mount or larger-coin-cell designs.

Questions about this item

Will the plastic shell or metal contacts need replacement after repeated battery swaps?

The holder is a passive DIP-type socket with no moving parts, so the plastic shell and two metal contacts do not wear out from normal CR2450 insertions.

What stops me from adding more than one CR2450 cell to a single holder?

Each socket is moulded for exactly one CR2450 button cell; the cavity and contact spacing physically prevent a second battery from fitting.

Does the holder generate any heat or draw power when a CR2450 is left in it all day?

The socket itself is a simple passive connector with no electronics, so it produces no heat and consumes no power while holding a CR2450.
