DB25 male-to-male extension cable 1.5 m

This 1.5 m DB25 extension cable connects two DB25 female ports with a fully moulded male-to-male design. Thumb screws on each connector secure the link for reliable data transfer. The black jacket uses plastic and metal construction and weighs 237 g. It suits legacy parallel or serial interfaces on older PCs and industrial equipment.

Replaces shorter or damaged DB25 cables

Use this cable when the existing DB25 lead is too short or the connectors are worn. The 1.5 m length bridges the gap between a computer and a parallel printer, plotter or serial device without signal degradation. It does not convert DB25 to other interfaces, so buyers needing USB, Centronics or gender-changing adapters should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

How much clearance is needed behind the port for the DB25 male plug and thumb screws?

The fully moulded DB25 male plug and integrated thumb screws require enough rear clearance to insert the connector and tighten the screws by hand; allow space for the plug body and finger access.

What is the correct way to secure the DB25 connectors so the link stays reliable?

Align each DB25 male plug with the female port, seat it fully, then tighten both thumb screws by hand until firm; skipping the screws is the common mistake that causes intermittent contact.
