Double-sided sponge tape 5 m roll

This double-sided sponge tape comes in a five-metre roll with a 20 mm width and 2 mm thickness. It uses acrylic adhesive on both sides of a polyethylene foam core. The tape is designed for indoor and outdoor mounting tasks such as electronics repair, signage, and general workshop fixing.

Sustained adhesion and weather resistance

The acrylic adhesive maintains its bond under vibration and temperature changes, providing quakeproof and waterproof performance over time. The foam core absorbs shock while keeping surfaces sealed against dust and moisture. It remains firm during prolonged exposure without losing tack.

Red and black colour coding for identification

The roll is supplied in red and black, allowing quick visual distinction between different mounting jobs or polarity-coded connections. This helps prevent wiring errors during automotive or electronic assembly. Only the colours listed are available.

Questions about this item

Will the 2 mm thickness keep the tape from compressing and losing grip when it is run all day in a warm workshop?

The 2 mm thick polyethylene foam stays flexible and resists permanent compression, so the acrylic adhesive maintains its hold during continuous indoor or outdoor use.

Does the roll include a release liner on both faces so I can cut and apply it without needing extra tools?

Yes, each side is covered by a peel-off liner; you simply cut the required length, remove both liners and press the tape into place.

Can the 20 mm wide tape bond securely to the textured plastic panels on my older dashboard?

The acrylic adhesive is designed for uneven surfaces and provides a waterproof, dustproof and quakeproof bond on a variety of materials including textured plastics.
