Junction Box IP65 Outdoor Use

This ABS junction box carries an IP65 rating for dust and water protection in outdoor and industrial environments. The transparent polycarbonate cover allows visual inspection of internal wiring without opening the enclosure. It suits electrical, communications and fire-protection installations.

IP65 Rating Limits

The IP65 rating guarantees protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. It does not certify resistance to prolonged immersion or high-pressure wash-downs. Installers must ensure cable glands or fittings maintain the same sealing level.

Inner Dimensions 180x80x63mm

The usable internal space measures 180mm by 80mm by 63mm, which determines how many terminals or connectors fit inside. Builders needing more wiring capacity will require a larger enclosure. Verify your component layout against these dimensions before purchase.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 150×150×70 mm box or a smaller size for my project?

This model has an outer size of 150 mm × 150 mm × 70 mm and an inner size of 180 mm × 80 mm × 63 mm; choose it when you need that exact mounting footprint and internal volume.

What does the IP65 rating mean once the box is installed?

IP65 means the enclosure is dust-tight and protected against low-pressure water jets from any direction, so it suits outdoor or wash-down environments.

Does the ABS body and PC clear cover limit the temperature range or chemical resistance?

The body is ABS and the cover is polycarbonate; both materials handle typical industrial temperatures and resist many common chemicals, but check specific agent compatibility for your site.
