A 6.6 ft low-loss LMR195 coax with N male to RP-SMA female connectors and gold-plated pins for linking SMA equipment to N-style antennas

  • Product typeHI - Antennas, Wires & Fittings
  • Connect SMA devices to N-style antennas with this N Male to RP-SMA Female cable
  • 6 ft low-loss LMR195-size coax keeps signal strong over the full run
  • Gold-plated signal pins resist corrosion for reliable contact
  • Heat-shrink on both ends protects joints from strain and moisture
  • 50 ohm impedance matches standard RF equipment

Connector Types & Compatibility

This N Male to RP-SMA Female cable connects SMA equipment to N-style antennas. It suits routers, PCI cards and access points that need an interface change. The 50 ohm impedance matches common RF applications.

Upgrade From Thin Jumpers

Replaces lossy thin coax or mismatched adapters with a 6.6ft LMR195 size run. The jump is worth it when the link budget demands lower attenuation over a two-metre span. Gold plated signal pins and heat shrink on both ends improve contact reliability.

Sustained RF Performance

Low-loss LMR195 size coax keeps insertion loss stable during continuous transmit cycles. The 93g assembly resists connector fatigue better than lightweight pigtails. Alloy, copper and PVC construction handles repeated mating without degradation.

Questions about this item

What connector spacing does the N-type male plug need on the antenna side?

The cable ends in a standard N-type male plug that mates with any 50 ohm N-female antenna jack; no special spacing is required beyond the industry thread pitch.

Which end should be tightened first when connecting the pigtail between an RP-SMA radio and an N-type antenna?

Hand-tighten the RP-SMA female end onto the radio first, then snug the N-type male end onto the antenna; reversing the order can stress the centre pin on the RP-SMA side.

How often should the heat-shrink boots at each connector be inspected on this 6.6ft RG58 pigtail?

Check the heat-shrink at both ends every six months for cracking or moisture ingress; replace the pigtail if the adhesive liner has lifted or the jacket shows abrasion.
