Oval rubber grommets with 44 × 20 mm mounting holes protect cables from rough surfaces and include pre-cut slots for custom drilling
These double-sided rubber grommets protect wires, cables and pipes from sharp panel edges in automotive, marine, industrial and domestic installations. The oval profile suits flat or bundled loom routing where round grommets would leave gaps. Supplied as a pack of four for multiple entry points.
Swap out deteriorated original equipment grommets when the panel cut-out measures 44 x 20 mm and a 2.8 mm groove thickness matches the sheet metal. The jump is worth it when existing seals leak, chafe loom or cannot accommodate the required cable diameter range.
Each grommet has a pre-made slot so you can drill the centre hole to suit the exact wire bundle, giving a tight or loose fit as needed. The soft rubber compresses into the 44 x 20 mm opening without tools. Take care not to oversize the drilled hole or the seal will not grip the panel.

The 2.8 mm groove thickness is designed for panels or sheet metal of that same thickness, so the grommet sits flush when pressed into the 44 x 20 mm cut-out.
Align the slot with the edge of the 44 x 20 mm hole, press one side in first, then work the opposite side around the perimeter until the 2.8 mm groove locks into the panel.
Replace them when the rubber shows cracking, hardening or loss of elasticity, which indicates heat and UV exposure have degraded the material.
