Panel Ampere Meter

The Unique-Bargains SO-45 is a round analog panel ammeter designed for electricians and technicians who need to monitor alternating current in fixed installations. It measures AC current from 0 to 3A with a stated accuracy of Class 2.5 and fits a standard 37mm square cut-out.

Upgrade From Basic Indicators

This meter replaces simple pilot lights or uncalibrated analog gauges when a readable numerical scale is required for troubleshooting or verification. The jump is worthwhile when the operator must distinguish small current changes on a live circuit rather than only confirm presence of voltage.

Sustained Load Behaviour

Under continuous operation the movement maintains its Class 2.5 tolerance across the 0-3A range without the drift sometimes seen in uncompensated mechanisms. The 47mm overall depth and 46g weight allow it to sit securely in a panel without adding stress to the mounting surface during extended use.

Questions about this item

What panel cut-out is required for the 37 x 37 mm mount size?

Cut a 37 x 37 mm square opening in the panel; the meter face is 45 mm in diameter and the overall depth behind the panel is 47 mm.

How is the analog ammeter secured and which step is often missed?

Insert the meter through the cut-out and fasten the supplied installing parts onto the 4.5 mm thread; the step often missed is pressing the fine-tuning button to zero the needle before tightening.

What ongoing checks does the Class 2.5 AC 0-3 A meter need?

Periodically verify the pointer rests at zero with no current flowing and re-zero using the fine-tuning button; no internal battery or consumable parts require replacement.
