15 metre OM4 duplex fibre

This 15 metre OM4 duplex fibre patch cord terminates in LC connectors on both ends. It is built for multimode links that run at 100 gigabits per second. The cable suits data-centre cross-connects, high-density patch panels and backbone runs between switches.

OM4 bandwidth enables 100G

The OM4 rating provides the modal bandwidth needed for 100G Ethernet over the full 15 metre reach without additional transceivers. Standard LC ferrules mate with existing SFP, SFP+ and QSFP modules so no adapter panels are required.

Low-loss ceramic ferrules

Ceramic ferrules and precision-polished end faces keep insertion loss low across repeated matings. The yellow aqua jacket identifies OM4 at a glance and the push-pull LC latch secures the connection in dense trays.

Questions about this item

Will the LC connectors on this 15 m OM4 cable need periodic cleaning or replacement?

LC connectors benefit from inspection and cleaning before each mating; the ferrules themselves do not wear out under normal use, so replacement is only needed if the end-face is damaged.

What is the maximum distance this 15 m OM4 cable can support at 100 Gbit/s?

OM4 multimode fibre is rated for 100 m at 100 Gbit/s, so the 15 m length is well within that limit; attenuation over this distance will not be the limiting factor.

Does the cable generate any heat or require power when run continuously?

A passive fibre cable produces no heat of its own and draws no power; only the transceivers at each end dissipate heat during operation.
