The UNITECH MS838-2UCB0S-SG is a corded 2D imager barcode scanner built for point-of-sale and inventory workflows. It connects by USB cable and includes a hands-free gooseneck stand for presentation scanning. The unit reads all common 1D and 2D symbologies from paper labels and mobile screens.

Scan Capacity and Headroom

The 640 X 480 CMOS sensor captures at 60 fps and decodes 1D codes down to 3 mil resolution. Depth of field spans 60 to 360 mm at 13 mil PCS 90%, with skew and pitch tolerance of ±60° and full 360° roll. Damaged or poorly printed codes are handled reliably, but very high-density codes beyond 3 mil or ranges outside the stated depth of field will not read.

Interface Practical Limits

Host communication uses USB or RS232 interfaces with plug-and-play operation. The fixed 1.5 m cable length and corded electric power source restrict placement to the reach of the host port. IP54 sealing and a 1.5 m drop rating protect against dust, splashes and countertop falls, yet the scanner is not suited for outdoor, wet or submersion environments.
