Clipboard design and materials

This clipboard uses a plastic base with a brushed aluminium finish and a low-profile safety clip. The construction keeps papers secure without accidental openings. Its slim profile suits transport in briefcases or laptop bags. Landscape orientation fits standard 11 x 8.5 inch paper.

Who this suits and who it does not

It works for anyone needing a lightweight writing surface for letter-size documents in landscape format. The half-inch clip capacity limits use with thicker stacks or bulky reports. Buyers who want more storage or a built-in compartment should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification: clip capacity

The clip holds up to 0.5 inches of paper, which determines whether the board can handle your typical document thickness. Check your usual stack height against that figure before buying.

Questions about this item

Does the low-profile safety clip on the 40302 make any noise or heat up during all-day use?

The clipboard has no moving parts or electronics, so it produces no noise and generates no heat during continuous use.

What paper size must I already have for the 11 x 8.5 inch landscape clipboard to work as intended?

The board is designed for 11 x 8.5 inch paper; sheets of that size fit the clip and the 12.5 x 9 inch board surface.

Can the 40302 clipboard hold older half-letter or A5 documents alongside standard letter sheets?

The clip capacity is .5 inch and the board holds 11 x 8.5 inch paper; smaller pages will fit but may not align with the full surface.
