Universal Temple Repair Kit

This kit contains a pair of black metal and plate temples measuring 0.36 by 14 centimetres, a screwdriver, twenty screws and four washers. It is designed for spectacle wearers who need to replace worn or uncomfortable arms. The lightweight construction weighs only five grams per side to reduce pressure on the ears. Installation is straightforward using the included tools.

Suitable For Most Frames

The classic style fits a wide range of standard glasses and sunglasses, refreshing expensive frames at low cost. Buyers who require a specific hinge mechanism, curved temple tips or a length other than 14 centimetres should look at alternative parts. Those needing coloured or acetate arms will not find them in this package.

Temple Length 14 Centimetres

The critical dimension is the 14 centimetre temple length; verify this measurement against your current frames before ordering. The 0.36 centimetre width and five gram weight are fixed by the metal and plate construction. All hardware needed for the swap is supplied in the box.

Questions about this item

Will the 14 cm temple arms fit my current frames?

The temples measure 14 cm in length and 0.36 cm in width; compare those dimensions with your existing arms before ordering.

Which screw size from the 20 included should I use first?

Start with the smallest screw that engages the hinge threads; the kit supplies 20 screws and 4 washers so you can test several without stripping the holes.

When will the metal-and-plate temples need replacement again?

The 5 g arms are designed for long-term wear resistance; replace them only if the finish wears through or the hinge loosens beyond screw tightening.
