The US Cargo Control HMT2424-BLK is a black heavy-duty tarp built from PVC-coated polyester for outdoor protection. It is designed for owners who need a durable covering to shield equipment, vehicles or materials from weather and debris.

California Proposition 65 Notice

This product carries a California Proposition 65 warning because it contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer. The notice informs buyers of the regulatory requirement but does not alter the tarp’s physical performance or installation method.

Suited for General Outdoor Covering

This tarp suits users who want a robust, water-resistant sheet for temporary shelters, ground covers or load securing. Buyers who need a framed storage building with walls, doors or ventilation should look at a different structure type.

Questions about this item

How often should the PVC-coated polyester fabric be inspected or replaced due to UV exposure?

The heavy-duty tarp uses PVC-coated polyester designed for outdoor durability, but periodic inspection for UV degradation is recommended based on local sun intensity.

What is the first limitation that appears when the tarp is left tensioned continuously?

Sustained tension on the 2424 material can stress grommets and seams first, so regular checks of tie-down points prevent premature wear.

Does the black PVC coating increase surface temperature during all-day sun exposure?

The black colour absorbs more solar heat, raising surface temperature, while the PVC coating helps reflect some infrared radiation to moderate heat buildup.
