Product identity

ZORO SELECT closed-cell neoprene foam cord in black, 100 feet long and one-quarter inch in diameter, is supplied new for sealing, cushioning and gasket tasks in industrial, marine and general maintenance work.

Installation notes

The cord is flexible and cuts easily with a knife or scissors, then presses into grooves or between flanges without adhesive; the only common issue is over-compressing beyond the 25 percent deflection range, which can reduce recovery and long-term sealing performance.

Compatibility checks

Verify that the operating temperature stays between minus 40 and 160 degrees Fahrenheit and that the media contacting the cord are compatible with neoprene’s good oil, chemical and water resistance; the material meets ASTM D1056 2C3 grade standard for reference.
