The stranded 2×17 construction and PVC jacket resist moisture, acid and alkali while tolerating temperatures up to 80 °C. Heat-shrink tubing is included so soldered joints can be sealed quickly. Voltage drop increases with run length, so very long strips at the upper wattage may dim noticeably. The 99.99 % copper core keeps resistance low, but the 22 AWG gauge still limits the maximum safe current for extended runs.
