This pair of foldable 15.3-inch antennas covers 144 MHz and 430 MHz with an SMA-Male connector. Rated for up to 20 W input and 2.15/3.2 dBi gain, they are built for portable two-way radio use. Sturdy flexible construction aims to improve reception on compatible handhelds.

For VHF/UHF handheld operators

Suits owners of Yaesu Vertex VX and FT series or TYT TH, MD and TC series radios that accept an SMA-Male plug. Not for users needing a different connector type, higher power handling above 20 W, or antennas tuned to other frequency bands.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the 2-pack or a single antenna?

The listing only offers the 15.3-inch SMA-Male dual-band antenna in a 2-pack; there is no single-unit option shown.

What does the 2.15/3.2 dBi gain figure mean once the antenna is on my radio?

On 144 MHz the antenna provides 2.15 dBi gain and on 430 MHz it provides 3.2 dBi, improving both transmit range and receive sensitivity on those bands.

The SMA-Male connector — does it fit standard SMA-Female radios and what power can it handle?

The SMA-Male plug fits any radio with an SMA-Female jack such as the listed Yaesu and TYT models, and the antenna is rated for up to 20 W maximum power input.
