Questions about this item

Does the 20V 12A barrel connector wear out and need replacement?

The 20V 12A output uses a standard barrel tip rated for thousands of insertions; under normal daily use it lasts the life of the charger, and only physical damage would require a replacement unit.

What limits the 240W output during continuous load?

The 240W rating is the thermal ceiling; sustained 20V 12A draw will warm the brick until its internal protection throttles output to keep component temperatures safe.

How much fan noise or heat does the 240W brick produce all day?

The adapter has no fan; it relies on passive convection, so it runs silent while the case reaches warm but safe temperatures during 240W continuous operation.
