Questions about this item

Does the 150 cm AC cord eventually need replacing if it frays?

The 150 cm AC cord is fixed to the unit; if the insulation is damaged the whole station should be retired rather than rewired.

What stops the 40 W 8 A station from delivering full current to all five ports at once?

Total output is capped at 8 A, so five devices drawing 2.4 A each would exceed the limit and the station will throttle the shared current.

How hot does the 225 g charger get when all ports run continuously?

The unit includes over-heating protection that reduces power before temperatures become unsafe, but no surface-temperature figure is published.
