7.2V 1800mAh Ni-MH Radio Pack

This three-pack supplies 7.2V 1800mAh nickel-metal hydride cells built as direct replacements for Yaesu and Vertex two-way radios. It covers OEM part numbers FNB-V57, FNB-64, FNB-83 and FNB-V94 across handheld and mobile models used in marine, aviation and land-mobile service.

Sustained transmit performance

Nickel-metal hydride chemistry delivers steady voltage through extended push-to-talk cycles without the sharp sag seen in alkaline packs. The 1800mAh rating supports long duty shifts on VX and FT series portables, and the three-pack layout lets operators rotate cells for continuous uptime.

Compatibility boundary

These packs fit only the listed Yaesu and Vertex radios; they will not work with units that require a different voltage, connector keying or lithium-ion chemistry. Buyers needing higher capacity, rapid-charge protocols or non-Yaesu models must select a different power source.

Questions about this item

Does the 7.2 V 1800 mAh Ni-MH pack run hot or draw extra current during all-day use?

The 7.2 V 1800 mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers steady voltage with low self-discharge, so the pack stays cool and draws only the radio's normal operating current during extended shifts.

Must I already own a Yaesu or Vertex radio listed in the compatibility list for these packs to work?

Yes, each pack replaces OEM part numbers FNB-V57, FNB-64, FNB-83 and FNB-V94, so it fits only the Yaesu/Vertex models such as the FT-60R, VX-150, VX-420 or HX270S shown in the supported list.

Will the three-pack power my older VX-110 and newer FT-270R without any adapter?

Both the VX-110 and FT-270R appear in the supported model list, so each 7.2 V 1800 mAh pack slides directly into either radio with no extra adapter needed.
