The charger offers a 1.8 A quick-charge setting intended for packs between 1800 mAh and 5000 mAh, so the 3000 mAh unit can be replenished at the higher rate without exceeding the recommended range. A lower 0.9 A setting is also available for smaller packs, giving flexibility across different sessions. NiMH chemistry delivers consistent voltage through most of the discharge curve rather than a sharp drop-off.
