Vehicle Travel Charger for Motorola Radios

This compact car charger replaces the PMLN7089 series and works with Motorola CP200, CP200D, CP200XLS, PR400, EP450 and DEP450 models. It accepts Ni‑CD, Ni‑MH and Li‑ion batteries, charging either a radio with a battery attached or a battery alone. Plug‑and‑play operation keeps teams connected while on the road.

Continuous Charging During Use

The unit powers the radio while it charges, so communication is not interrupted during long shifts. Over‑charge protection stops current flow once the battery is full, preventing damage during extended vehicle journeys. An LED indicator confirms the charging status at a glance.

Thermal Protection and Low‑Noise Operation

Built‑in over‑charge protection limits heat build‑up inside the charger and the battery pack. No fan is fitted, so the device runs silently in the cab. Power is drawn directly from the vehicle socket without additional adapters.

Questions about this item

Does the charger generate noticeable heat or draw extra power when left running in the vehicle all day?

The compact plug-and-play design includes over-charging protection and an LED indicator, so it only draws power while actively charging the battery or radio.

What must I already own for this charger to work with my Motorola radio?

You need a compatible Motorola two-way radio such as the CP200, CP200D, CP200XLS, PR400, EP450 or DEP450 and a Ni-CD, Ni-MH or Li-ion battery that fits the radio or the charger pocket.

Will this charger work alongside my older CP040 or CP150 radios that I still keep in the fleet?

The charger pocket accepts a radio with battery or a battery alone, but the listed compatibility covers CP200, CP200D, CP200XLS, PR400, EP450 and DEP450 models only.
