Sheepdog Listen-Only Earpiece 3.5mm

The usbroway Sheepdog is a wired listen-only earpiece designed for shoulder speaker microphones that accept a 3.5mm receive-only plug. It serves law-enforcement, security and marine-radio users who need discreet, one-way audio monitoring without a boom microphone.

Compatibility check before ordering

Verify that your shoulder speaker microphone has a 3.5mm audio accessory port configured for receive-only operation. The earpiece fits Motorola, Kenwood, Harris, Tait, Icom and EF Johnson police speaker mics with such ports; other radios or microphone models may not accept the plug.

Build integration and accessories

The Kevlar-reinforced cable with durable strain reliefs connects directly to the microphone, freeing the user from a headset boom while keeping both hands available. The kit supplies left and right medium earmolds, a clear coiled acoustic tube and a flesh-coloured eartip so the earpiece can be worn comfortably in either ear during extended shifts.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and does it need a separate speaker microphone?

The kit includes the Sheepdog listen-only earpiece with a 3.5 mm plug, left and right medium earmolds, a clear coiled acoustic tube and a flesh eartip. A shoulder speaker microphone with a 3.5 mm receive-only port is required and sold separately.

Which earpiece version should I choose for a Motorola or Kenwood police mic?

This single 3.5 mm receive-only model (SD-AT-3.5C) fits Motorola, Kenwood, Harris, Tait, Icom and EF Johnson speaker mics that accept a 3.5 mm audio accessory port.

How does the Kevlar-reinforced cable hold up on patrol?

Kevlar reinforcement and durable strain reliefs protect the cable from daily flexing and snagging, giving reliable audio reception during law-enforcement shifts.
