SKU CH-0ND9-ZJSFQ

Dual-band VHF/UHF magnetic-base antenna with 8 dBi gain, 3 m RG174 cable and SMA male connector for handheld two-way radios

  • Product typeTwo-way Radio
  • Dual-band coverage from 136-174MHz and 400-470MHz
  • Magnetic base secures antenna to metal surfaces
  • 8dBi gain boosts transmit and receive range
  • Three-metre RG174 cable allows flexible placement
  • SMA male connector fits many handheld radios

Dual-Band VHF/UHF Magnetic Antenna

The usbroway antenna covers VHF 136-174MHz and UHF 400-470MHz with an omni-directional pattern and 8dBi gain. It terminates in an SMA male connector on a 3m RG174 cable for direct connection to compatible handhelds and mobile radios.

Magnetic Base and RG174 Cable

The magnetic mount secures the antenna to any ferrous surface such as a vehicle roof without drilling, while the 3m RG174 cable provides routing flexibility inside a cabin or boat. Only the antenna itself is included; no adapters or mounting hardware beyond the integrated base are supplied.

8dBi Gain Across Marine and Ham Bands

The 8dBi gain extends transmit and receive range on both VHF marine channels and UHF ham allocations for operators using listed Yaesu, TYT, Wouxun and Standard Horizon models. Users needing coverage outside 136-174MHz or 400-470MHz, or requiring a different connector type, will need a separate antenna solution.

Questions about this item

Will the magnetic base or the 3m RG174 cable need replacing after extended outdoor use?

The magnetic base is a permanent mount; the 3m RG174 cable and SMA Male connector are fixed assemblies, so no user-serviceable parts are listed for periodic replacement.

What power limit appears first when transmitting continuously through the 8dBi omni-directional antenna?

The antenna is rated for the VHF 136-174MHz and UHF 400-470MHz bands with 8dBi gain; the radio's own duty-cycle and thermal limits will be reached before the passive antenna assembly.

Does the 3m RG174 run warm or add noise when the radio operates all day on VHF 136-174MHz and UHF 400-470MHz?

RG174 is a passive coaxial cable; it generates no heat or electrical noise of its own, and the magnetic base adds no active circuitry during extended operation.
