Tactical Foldable Antenna 18.7 inch

The usbroway foldable tactical antenna measures 18.7 inches and connects via an SMA-Female connector. It is built for operators who need a compact, flexible whip that can be stowed quickly on a belt or pack. The gooseneck section bends repeatedly without fatigue, making it suited for field use where rigid antennas snag or break.

Dual Band VHF/UHF Frequency Coverage

This antenna covers 136-174 MHz and 400-480 MHz, matching the dual-band allocation used by many handheld transceivers. If your radio operates outside those ranges the antenna will not perform as intended, so verify your equipment's TX/RX limits before purchase.

Sustained Field Performance

The high-quality bending materials retain their shape and electrical continuity after repeated folding cycles, keeping SWR stable during extended transmissions. The 6.5 mile range claim reflects optimal line-of-sight conditions; real-world distance will vary with terrain, power output and repeater availability.

Questions about this item

How far can I expect to talk with the 6.5-mile range claim on my UV-5R?

The 6.5-mile figure is a best-case estimate in open terrain; buildings, hills and foliage will reduce it considerably.

What does the SMA-Female connector mean for compatibility with my radio?

It mates directly with the SMA-Male jack on Baofeng UV-5R, UV-82, BF-F8HP and similar models without an adapter.

Will the 18.7-inch folded length clear my tactical vest pouch?

When folded the gooseneck measures roughly 18 inches, so check your pouch depth against that length.
