Product Identity

The usbroway Impact is a listen-only earpiece with an 8-pin connector designed for Motorola APX speaker microphones. It replaces RLN6424, RLN6424A and RLN6424B models and works with HMN4101, HMN4103 and HMN4104 shoulder speaker microphones. A Kevlar reinforced cable measures 18 inches at rest and carries a 3 year manufacturer warranty.

Suitability

This earpiece suits professionals who need discrete receive-only audio on compatible Motorola APX speaker microphones. It is not for users who require a transmit microphone or push-to-talk function on the earpiece itself. Buyers with non-Motorola radios or different speaker microphone connectors should look at other options.

Installation Notes

Connection is made by plugging the 8-pin jack directly into the accessory port on the supported HMN4101, HMN4103 or HMN4104 speaker microphone. No tools or software configuration are required. The coiled cable can snag on gear if not routed carefully and the listen-only design means users must still key the speaker microphone to transmit.
