Compatible Battery Packs

This rapid charger works with Kenwood KNB-45L, KNB-63L and KNB-65L lithium-ion battery packs. It supports a wide range of portable radios including the TK-2400, TK-2402, TK-3400 and TK-3402 series. The unit provides a direct replacement charging solution for fleet and marine operators. LED indicators show red while charging and green when the pack reaches full capacity.

Who This Suits

Teams running Kenwood two-way radios on the listed battery packs will find a straightforward charging solution. It is not for users with NiMH or NiCd packs, or for radios outside the TK-2000, TK-3000 and TK-3200 families. Buyers needing multi-bay gang chargers or vehicle-mounted charging systems should look at different hardware. The charger only handles single packs in a desktop orientation.

Installation And Common Issues

Place the charger on a stable surface, connect the supplied power adapter, then slide the battery pack into the moulded cradle until it clicks. The red LED confirms charging has started. A loose fit or dirty contacts often prevent the LED from lighting; cleaning the terminals usually restores operation. No software or firmware configuration is required.
