Six-Way Desktop Charger for Baofeng Radios

This new six-way desktop charger powers up to six Baofeng two-way radios or BL-9 batteries simultaneously from a single AC outlet. Compatible models include the UV-9R, UV-9R Plus, UV-9G and GT-3WP. The unit measures 11.0 by 7.0 by 2.4 inches, consolidating multi-device charging into a compact footprint. A side-mounted power switch lets you cut power without unplugging the adapter.

Charging Limits and Protection

Each pocket delivers a fixed 500mA charging current at DC 8.4V, drawing from a 100-240V AC supply. A full charge for the BL-9 1800mAh battery takes 3-4 hours. Built-in safeguards protect against overcharging, overvoltage and short circuits during normal use. The charger is designed solely for the listed Baofeng radios and their matching batteries; it will not charge other radio brands or battery chemistries.

Upgrade from Single Dock Chargers

This base replaces multiple individual desktop docks or USB cables, freeing outlets and reducing cable clutter for teams that run several radios daily. The jump is worth it when you routinely charge three or more units at once and want a single power switch for the whole set. Solo users or those with only one compatible radio gain no practical advantage over a standard single-bay charger.

Questions about this item

Should I pick this six-way charger or a single-slot one for my UV-9R radios?

This unit charges six radios or batteries at once from one wall outlet, saving desk space and leaving other sockets free.

What does the 500 mA per pocket rating mean when I drop in a BL-9 1800 mAh pack?

It delivers a steady 500 mA charge current, so a depleted 1800 mAh battery reaches full capacity in roughly three to four hours.

Will the 100-240 V input and 8.4 V DC output work safely on UK mains without an extra adapter?

Yes, the removable AC adapter accepts 100-240 V AC and regulates it to 8.4 V DC for the charger base, with built-in overcharge, over-voltage and short-circuit protection.
