Transparent Earpiece for Midland LXT

The usbroway transparent two-way radio earpiece connects directly to compatible Midland LXT handhelds. It uses a behind-the-ear microphone design with dual transparent tubes. Push-to-talk and voice-activated transmission are both supported. Rated output reaches 90dB at 32 ohms impedance.

Security Teams and LXT Owners

This headset suits professionals who need discreet, hands-free communication on Midland LXT radios. It will not work with Motorola, Kenwood or other brand connectors. Buyers using non-Midland intercoms or requiring over-the-head headband styles should look elsewhere.

PTT/VOX Changes Daily Use

The push-to-talk button lets users transmit instantly without touching the radio body. Voice-activation mode enables completely hands-free operation when the environment allows. Rated input power of 0.1W and maximum input of 0.2W protect the driver from overload. Dual transparent microphones keep the profile low for security or event work.

Questions about this item

Which Midland radio do I need to already own so this earpiece will plug in and work?

It connects to any Midland LXT series radio listed such as the LXT300, LXT310, LXT350 or LXT480.

If I keep my older Midland LXT300 will the PTT and VOX functions still operate through this headset?

Yes, the LXT300 is in the compatible list so both push-to-talk and voice-activated transmission work normally.

After I plug it in how can I confirm the earpiece is receiving audio at the rated 90dB output level?

Transmit from another radio on the same channel; you should hear clear audio at the specified 90dB output.
