USB-C to 4.5 × 3.0 mm DC charging cable

This cable connects compatible HP laptops with a 4.5 × 3.0 mm barrel jack to any USB-C Power Delivery charger. It supports the 100 W PD profile and carries up to 5 A at 20 V. The right-angle plug keeps the connector flush against the chassis.

Plug-in installation with automatic PD negotiation

No drivers or configuration are required; the built-in E-mark chip negotiates the correct voltage and current with the charger. The only common issue is attempting to use the cable for video or data, which the specification explicitly excludes.

Handles 100 W, 90 W, 65 W, 45 W.

The 6.5 ft length gives ample reach for desk or bedside charging. It cannot charge laptops that require a different barrel size or a proprietary connector, and it does not support data or video signals.
