VHF Helical Antenna Pack for Kenwood TK Radios

This pack supplies ten 6.6 inch helical antennas tuned to the 146-162MHz VHF band. They are built as direct replacements for the Kenwood KRA-26M and fit the TK series portables listed by the supplier. Fleet managers and radio technicians can outfit multiple handsets from a single box.

VHF Band Coverage and Connector Fit

The antennas operate only within the stated 146-162MHz range, so they cannot be used on UHF or other VHF sub-bands. Each unit uses the Kenwood-specific connector found on the compatible TK models; radios with a different antenna socket will not accept these helicals without an adapter.

Simple Screw-On Installation

Installation is a matter of threading each antenna onto the radio’s antenna port until it seats firmly. The most common issue is cross-threading the fine connector threads if the antenna is forced at an angle. Another frequent problem is ordering the wrong variant for a radio that requires a longer whip or a different connector type.
