1080P HDMI KVM Extender 60M

The UTEK 1080P HDMI KVM Extender transmits video and USB signals over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable up to 60 metres. It supports 1080P resolution and provides a local HDMI loop-out for a monitor at the transmitter side. USB keyboard and mouse control are extended to the remote location. The unit draws power from a USB cable.

Transmission distance and resolution limits

The extender reaches its full 60 metre range only with Cat5e or Cat6 cabling; longer or lower-grade cables will reduce the reliable distance. Maximum video output is 1080P, so 4K or higher-resolution sources cannot be passed through. Only USB keyboard and mouse signals are extended — other USB device classes such as storage or audio are not supported.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 45-metre or the 60-metre reach for my 1080P setup?

The extender is rated for up to 60 metres over Cat5e/6 cable; choose the 60-metre option if your run approaches that distance, otherwise the 45-metre reach will work fine.

What does the 1080P rating mean when the signal travels 60 metres over Cat6?

It means the extender can transmit a 1080P HDMI signal up to 60 metres while also carrying USB keyboard and mouse data, with a local HDMI loop-out for a monitor at the transmitter.
