UTEK 5x1 HDMI 2.1 KVM Switch

The UTEK 5x1 HDMI 2.1 KVM Switch routes up to five HDMI sources to one display. It supports 8K resolution at 60Hz and 4K at 120Hz for gaming consoles or workstations. Deep colour up to 36-bit and audio formats including LPCM 7.1 pass through without degradation.

Sustained signal integrity

Automatic signal retiming maintains stable video during long sessions by skipping disconnected ports. External power is required to keep the link active and prevent the monitor from restarting. The switch handles 48Gbps bandwidth continuously without quality loss across all supported resolutions.

Pre-purchase checklist

Verify that each source device outputs HDMI 2.1 and that your display accepts 8K 60Hz or 4K 120Hz signals. Confirm you have a free USB power outlet for the included adapter. Ensure your HDMI cables are rated for the 48Gbps bandwidth needed for 8K content.

Questions about this item

How much power does the UTEK 5x1 KVM switch draw when it runs continuously?

The unit requires external power to operate and will not function without it connected.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use the 5x1 switch with my PC and consoles?

You need five HDMI source cables for your devices and one HDMI cable to your display; the switch provides IR remote and front-button control.

Will the switch pass 1080p 240 Hz from an older GPU to a new 4K 120 Hz monitor without downscaling?

Yes, it supports 1080p at 240 Hz, 4K at 120 Hz and 8K at 60 Hz, so the older signal is transmitted at its native rate.
