UTEK HDMI KVM Extender 120M Cat5e/6

This UTEK HDMI KVM extender transmits 4K video at 30 Hz and USB control signals up to 120 metres over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It includes a US plug power supply. The unit replaces fixed-length HDMI cables with flexible network cabling for easier installation in walls or trays. It supports mouse, keyboard and touch-screen operation.

Suits installers needing long-range HDMI

The extender serves DVR monitoring, conference rooms, digital signage and training rooms where the display sits far from the source. It does not meet the needs of users who require 4K at higher refresh rates or transmission distances beyond 120 metres. Buyers needing multi-port switching or fibre-based extension should consider other solutions.

Maximum 4K 30 Hz over 120 metres Cat5e/6

The single decisive specification is the 4K 30 Hz video signal delivered up to 120 metres via Cat5e or Cat6 cable. This distance and refresh-rate combination determines whether the extender fits the installation. Verify that the source and display both operate at 30 Hz before purchase.

Questions about this item

What cables do I already need to connect the transmitter and receiver units?

You need a single Cat5e or Cat6 patch cable up to 120 metres long to link the two units.

Will my existing USB mouse and keyboard work through the extender at the remote end?

Yes, the extender passes USB signals so standard wired or wireless mice and keyboards function normally at the display side.

How can I verify the link is running at the supported 4K 30 Hz after installation?

Confirm the source device outputs 4K at 30 Hz and that the remote display shows a stable image without flicker or signal loss.
