USB-C to MagSafe 2 cable delivers up to 60W from a 15V–20V PD charger for compatible MacBooks, 1.8m long
This 1.8 metre cable connects a USB-C Power Delivery source to a MacBook with a MagSafe 2 T-Tip port. It is intended for owners of compatible MacBook Pro or MacBook Air models who want to use a modern USB-C charger instead of the original brick.
The cable accepts 15 V to 20 V input at up to 4.5 A and delivers a maximum of 60 W to the MagSafe 2 connector. A charger rated at 61 W or 87 W with a single USB-C output is needed; multi-port adapters or lower-power bricks will not provide sufficient current.
When paired with a compliant 61 W or 87 W charger, the cable maintains its full 60 W output continuously. If the power source cannot sustain 15 V to 20 V at the required amperage, the charge rate drops and the MagSafe LED may not illuminate.
