V4ink DR420 Drum Unit for Brother Printers

This compatible drum unit replaces the Brother DR420 in a wide range of HL, MFC, DCP and IntelliFax laser printers. It ships new in a single black cartridge pack and is rated for approximately twelve thousand pages at five percent coverage. The unit is designed for drop-in installation and reliable recognition by the printer.

Home offices and small businesses using listed

Buyers who need a colour drum or a higher-yield unit should look elsewhere. Users with printers outside the supported Brother HL, MFC, DCP and IntelliFax series cannot use this cartridge. Organisations requiring OEM-only supplies will prefer the original Brother drum.

Rated yield of 12000 pages at 5% coverage

This page-yield figure is the primary specification for planning replacement intervals and running costs. It is based on standard letter or A4 pages at five percent toner coverage. Actual yield will vary with page content, print density and environmental conditions.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the single-pack DR420 or a multi-pack for my HL-2270DW?

The listing shows a 1-pack black DR420 drum rated for 12000 pages at 5% coverage; order additional single packs if you want spares.

What does the 12000-page yield mean for everyday printing on an MFC-7360N?

At the standard 5% coverage test, the drum lasts about 12000 pages; heavier graphics or dense text will reduce actual page count.

Does the DR420 drum use a proprietary Brother interface or a standard laser interface?

It is a compatible laser drum unit designed to fit the listed Brother HL, MFC, DCP and IntelliFax models directly.
