Two-Pack Drum Units

This pack contains two V4ink DR820 compatible black drum units built for Brother laser printers. Each unit is rated for approximately 30000 pages at 5% coverage on letter or A4 paper. The set suits offices or home users who want a spare drum ready when the installed unit reaches end of life.

Suitable For Laser Printers Listed

The drums work with the Brother HL, MFC and DCP models shown in the compatibility list, including machines such as the HL-L6200DW, MFC-L6700DW and DCP-L5600DN. Buyers who need colour printing or who own printers outside this Brother mono laser range should look at other supplies.

30000 Page Yield Per Unit

The decisive figure is the 30000 page rating per drum at 5% coverage, which determines how often the unit must be replaced. If your monthly volume far exceeds this yield, a higher-capacity drum or a different printer class may be more appropriate.

Questions about this item

Does the DR820 drum unit have a page-yield limit built into its chip?

Each DR820 unit is rated for 30000 pages at 5% coverage; the printer tracks usage through its own drum counter rather than a hard stop on the chip.

Will the DR820 drum unit fit inside a Brother HL-L6200DW without extra brackets?

The DR820 is a direct mechanical replacement for the Brother DR820 drum and slides into the HL-L6200DW drum slot with no additional hardware.

What is the correct order to install the DR820 drum and toner, and which step is most often missed?

Insert the toner cartridge into the DR820 drum first, then install the combined assembly into the printer; the step most often missed is resetting the drum counter via the printer menu after installation.
