Buyers who need pigment-based inks for archival prints or who own a printer outside the XP-850, XP-860, XP-950, XP-960 range should look elsewhere.

Installation and common issues

Cartridges are designed for straightforward insertion into the compatible Epson printers. The most frequent issue occurs when the printer does not recognise a cartridge; removing and reseating it usually resolves the problem. Firmware updates on the printer can occasionally block aftermarket chips, so checking compatibility before updating is advisable.

Questions about this item

Which Epson Expression Home printer models must I own for these T277XL cartridges to work?

The 7-pack fits the XP-850, XP-860, XP-950 and XP-960 printers.

If I still use standard-capacity Epson 277 cartridges in my XP-960, how do these high-yield T277XL units behave alongside them?

They install in the same slots and the printer recognises each cartridge individually, so mixed standard and XL tanks work together.

After installing the pack, how can I confirm the XP-850 is printing at the rated 500-page black and 700-page colour yields?

Print a nozzle-check pattern; clean output and the printer’s ink-level display showing full bars confirm the cartridges are seated and functioning.
