USB digital messaging system

The Valcom VC-V-9988 Messenger is a USB digital messaging device designed for music-on-hold applications in business telephone systems. It replaces cassette-based units with solid-state playback that removes tape-length limits and provides continuous background music or mixed music and message loops.

Suits offices wanting driver-free MP3 playback

This unit suits organisations that want to load MP3 files onto a flash drive up to 4 GB and play them at up to 128 Kbps without installing special drivers or software. It is not for users who need larger storage capacity, network-based content updates, or integration with VoIP platforms that require SIP or multicast streaming.

Plug-and-play with flash drive and speaker check

Installation consists of connecting the USB power supply, inserting a prepared flash drive, and verifying audio through the built-in monitor speaker and LED status indicator. The most common issues are using flash drives larger than 4 GB or formatted with an unsupported file system, which prevents the system from reading the MP3 files.
