Double-Sided IP PoE Clock

The Valcom VIP-D440ADS is a 4-inch digital clock designed for wall mounting where visibility from two directions is required. It receives both power and time data over a single Ethernet connection using Power over Ethernet, removing the need for a separate mains adapter. This network-linked approach keeps every unit synchronised without manual adjustment.

Continuous Network Time Operation

Because the clock draws its power from the PoE infrastructure, it remains active as long as the network switch is powered, eliminating the drift or blanking that battery-backed units show during extended outages. The double-sided display presents identical digits on both faces so corridors, lobbies or open-plan areas stay readable from either side without adding a second device.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the VIP-D440ADS produce when running continuously?

The VIP-D440ADS draws power over Ethernet and has no moving parts, so it operates silently with negligible heat output during all-day use.

What existing network equipment is required for the VIP-D440ADS to function?

You need a Power over Ethernet switch or midspan injector that supplies PoE on the cable run to the clock's location.
