What This Headset Delivers

The VALOR UG-08S-001 is an over-ear wireless gaming headset with 7.1 surround sound, a retractable detachable microphone and passive noise cancellation. It connects via a 2.4 GHz dongle or Bluetooth and also includes a 3.5 mm cable for wired use. Dynamic drivers cover a 5 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response at 32 ohms impedance.

Who It Fits and Who It Does Not

PC, PS5, PS4, Mac and Switch players who want long wireless sessions will appreciate the 100-hour Bluetooth runtime and 45-hour dongle runtime with a two-hour recharge. Xbox owners cannot use the wireless modes at all. Buyers who need active noise cancellation or a lighter on-ear design should look elsewhere.

The Deciding Specification

Battery life reaches 100 hours on Bluetooth with RGB and microphone off, dropping to 45 hours on the 2.4 GHz dongle with those features active. A full charge takes two hours and the headset works while charging. If your typical gaming stretch exceeds 45 hours between charges, the dongle mode may fall short.

Questions about this item

How loud does the headset get after hours of use?

The 32-ohm drivers draw little power, so the headset stays cool and quiet even after long sessions.

What must I already own to use the 2.4 GHz dongle?

A free USB-A port on a PC, PS5, PS4, Mac or Switch is required for the wireless dongle.

Can I still chat on my PS4 if the battery dies?

Yes, the 3.5 mm cable works for audio and mic on PS4 without any battery power.
