10 x 12 ft Vinyl Tarp

This heavy-duty vinyl tarp measures 10 by 12 feet cut size and finishes at 9 feet 6 inches by 11 feet 4 inches. It is built for outdoor protection where waterproof coverage and tear resistance are required. The 20 mil thickness and 18 oz/sq yd fabric weight suit demanding site or transport use.

Upgrade from lightweight poly tarps

Standard poly sheets often shred in wind or degrade under sun within weeks. This vinyl construction resists mildew, UV damage and tearing while staying waterproof through sustained exposure. The jump is worth it when the cover must survive seasonal weather or repeated deployment without replacement.

Brass grommets every 24 inches

Rope-reinforced, single-stitched hems with brass grommets spaced 24 inches apart allow secure tie-down using rope or bungee cords. Install by aligning grommets to anchor points and tensioning evenly to avoid stress concentrations. The most common failure occurs when corners are pulled tight without distributing load across multiple grommets.

Questions about this item

What finished size will the tarp actually cover after hemming?

The finished dimensions are 9 ft 6 in wide by 11 ft 4 in long, smaller than the 10 x 12 ft cut size.

How should the brass grommets spaced 24 in apart be secured to prevent tearing?

Thread rope or bungee cords through every grommet and tension evenly; skipping grommets concentrates load and rips the vinyl.

When will the 18 oz/sq yd vinyl need replacing under constant sun exposure?

UV resistance extends life, but plan to replace the tarp once the surface becomes chalky or brittle, typically after several seasons.
