Tan PTFE Fiberglass Cloth Tape

This tan tape uses PTFE impregnated fiberglass cloth with a silicone adhesive on one side. It comes in a continuous roll measuring 6 inches wide by 5 yards long with a 7.0 mil thickness. The construction resists abrasion and handles temperatures up to 500 degrees F.

Suited for high heat sealing

Buyers needing a utility grade tape for packaging, splicing or masking against hot surfaces will find the 45 oz/in adhesion and 120 lb-in tensile strength fit those tasks. It is not for applications requiring a rated standard or a specific certification the product does not carry.

Check roll width and adhesive compatibility

Verify that a 6 inch width matches the area you plan to cover and that a single sided silicone bond works with your substrate. Confirm the 1.514 inch core diameter fits your dispenser or holder before ordering.

Does the 7.0 mil thick tape with silicone adhesive bond to powder-coated metal without extra preparation?

The utility-grade tape adheres at 45 oz/in on clean, dry surfaces; powder coat should be wiped free of oil or dust before application.

How can I verify the 120 lb-in tensile strength is holding after I wrap a joint?

After wrapping, the tan cloth should show no fibre separation or elongation when the joint is flexed, confirming the tensile rating is intact.
