Black PTFE Coated Cloth Tape

This black cloth tape uses a polyethylene coated backing with a PTFE slick surface. A silicone adhesive provides 50 oz/in adhesion to steel. The roll measures 5 yards long by 1 inch wide with a 5 mil thickness. It suits assembly, aviation and general maintenance tasks.

Upgrade from standard duct tapes

Standard cloth tapes often leave residue or degrade outdoors. This PTFE slick surface resists sticking to itself and handles indoor or outdoor exposure. The jump is worth it when clean removal matters and a low friction surface is needed for guides or chutes.

Fits shipping and repair workflows

The continuous roll feeds dispensers or hand application in warehouse and manufacturing settings. Silicone adhesive bonds to metal, plastic and painted surfaces without a primer. It frees up time spent cleaning residue from conventional rubber based tapes.

Questions about this item

Will the 1 in wide cloth tape cover the seam on my 15 in wide carton?

The tape is 1 in wide, so multiple passes are needed to cover a 15 in seam.

How do I apply the silicone adhesive cloth tape without trapping air bubbles?

Press the tape firmly from the center outward with a roller or squeegee; the slick PTFE surface resists repositioning once contacted.

When will the 5 mil thick polyethylene coated cloth tape need replacement in outdoor use?

Replace when the black PTFE slick surface shows wear, abrasion, or the silicone adhesive no longer bonds to the substrate.
