Value Brand 16 x 24 ft 20 Mil Cotton Canvas Tarp Tan

Standard-Duty Cotton Canvas Tarp

This tan cotton canvas tarp measures 16 by 24 feet cut size and finishes at 15 feet 6 inches by 23 feet 6 inches. The fabric weighs 10 ounces per square yard with a 20 mil thickness. Nickel-plated brass grommets with a 0.5 inch inside diameter are spaced every 24 inches along the double-stitched hem. The material is breathable and treated for mildew and UV resistance.

Sustained Outdoor Exposure

Under continuous weather the canvas resists water penetration while allowing vapour to pass through, reducing condensation build-up. Mildew resistance slows fungal growth on damp surfaces and the UV treatment delays fibre degradation from sunlight. Double-stitched seams distribute tension across the hem so the grommets hold during prolonged wind loads. The standard-duty rating indicates the tarp is suited for temporary covers rather than permanent structures.

Upgrade From Lightweight Poly Tarps

Buyers replacing thin polyethylene sheets gain a stronger, breathable fabric that withstands repeated folding and tying. The heavier cotton canvas resists tearing at grommet points and does not become brittle in cold temperatures. The jump is worth it when the cover must stay in place for weeks, when condensation under the tarp damages contents, or when the tarp is handled frequently. Not for buyers who need a completely waterproof barrier or a high-visibility safety colour.
