2-inch 316 Stainless Swing Check Valve
This 2-inch FNPT swing check valve is built from 316 stainless steel for corrosion-resistant service in water and steam lines. A PTFE seat seal provides tight shut-off at the 5.6 psi cracking pressure. The body is rated for 200 psi maximum water and steam pressure. It installs horizontally in piping systems that require automatic back-flow prevention.
Sustained-pressure performance
The valve maintains its seal continuously at up to 200 psi and 350 °F without degradation of the PTFE seat. Horizontal mounting keeps the disc stable during prolonged flow, eliminating chatter that can occur in vertical runs. Temperature tolerance extends down to -4 °F, so the same unit handles both high-temperature steam and cold-water returns. The 316 stainless body resists scaling and chemical attack over long duty cycles.
Replaces worn brass or carbon-steel checks
When an existing check valve leaks, sticks or corrodes, this unit restores reliable one-way flow without changing pipe size. The jump is worth it when the system sees steam at 200 psi or temperatures near 350 °F, conditions that exceed typical brass ratings. It is not for vertical-flow installations, applications requiring a lower cracking pressure, or lines larger than 2 inches.

Questions about this item
Does the PTFE seal handle continuous 350 °F steam without leaking?
The valve is rated for 350 °F maximum temperature and 200 psi steam pressure, with a PTFE seal suited to that range.
My piping uses 2 in FNPT threads — will this valve thread straight on?
Yes, the valve has FNPT × FNPT connections sized for 2 in pipe, so it mates directly with matching threaded fittings.
Can the valve stay closed at low pressure but still open when my old 5 psi pump starts?
Cracking pressure is 5.6 psi, so the disc remains sealed below that and opens once pump pressure exceeds it.
